The Paid Dues Festival is returning to SoCal for it’s 7th installment this year, and are bringing with it 2 very similar but so, so different acts; Wu-Tang Clan and Odd Future. Both acts are known for their game changing music and originality, and have won over fans by not giving a fuck and rapping what they know.
Presented by MURS and in association with Guerilla Union, Paid Dues is an annual hip hop festival showcasing some big names and some up and coming rap acts in an all ages venue at the NOS Center, San Bernadino.
“I am honored this year to have two of the most impactful hip-hop collectives in history headline this year’s Paid Dues,” notes festival founder and independent hip-hop pioneer MURS. “Wu-Tang entered the game in the early ‘90s and changed everything. And Odd Future has already made an enormous impression in their own right and just a few years in. To have these two dynamic forces on the same stage on the same night is almost unimaginable but only right that it take place at Paid Dues. This and so much more to be announced in the upcoming weeks has me really looking forward to our 7th year of Paid Dues.”
Chang Weisberg, Guerilla Union head, added, “This year’s Paid Dues will be historic. Getting Wu-Tang Clan and Odd Future on the same stage for the first time is an epic billing. Add to that, having some of the greatest crews in hip-hop on one stage is crazy. This will be our biggest, most ambitious Paid Dues ever.”
Past Acts have included Bun B, Black Star, E-40, Dead Prez, Aesop Rock and Dilated Peoples.
Guerilla Union pre-sale began on December 14th, and tickets went on sale to the general public December 17th here
