Sony NEX-F3: Smaller is Better?

As you may know I’m a big fan of Sony, and I happen to thoroughly enjoy my NEX-5, the full-size version of the new NEX-F3.
Sonys latest addition to the NEX family aims to be the smallest interchangable lens camera coming in at just 225g (sans lens and battery). The 16mp sensor shares a lot of features with its larger, more powerful cousins and like other NEX models, it’s just an adapter away from utilizing Sony’s full range of Alpha lenses.
Priced at just over $500 retail, any decent sale will make this a serious competitor to brands like Nikon, Olympus and Fuji’s current Micro 4/3 lineup.

Sony NEX-7 First Look: Brochure

Sony NEX-7 w/ Karl Zeiss Lens

I’m the happy owner of a 16mp Sony NEX-5, yet I can’t help myself but yearn for the newest addition to Sony’s micro 4/3 lineup, the 24mp NEX-7.

As with the NEX-3 & 5, the NEX-7 uses the same APS-C sensor as the Alpha lineup of DSLR cameras, meaning the same quality photo’s at 100% crop with a much more manageable sized body.

As the first NEX-7 has just landed on ebay for just shy of $2000, I’m settling for the PDF brochure released by Sony recently, and some blogs that have been lucky enough to test the camera.

A couple of my favorite new features include the viewfinder, the hot shoe in addition to a pop-up flash, and finally the NEX-7 is the first micro 4/3’s camera to shoot in full HD video, no if ands or buts.

Here are the links to the brochure & manual if you’re curious.
